Well I have been sans Insanity since Saturday LAST week because of a NASTY cold. I have been on a steroid/antibiotic since Monday so I do feel SO much better. Unfortunately, my son caught my nasty cold and I have spent the past 3 days worrying about him and taking care of him (not easy when you have a 20 month old and a gross cold yourself) and the past 2 days I had completely forgotten to eat. I hate people that FORGET to eat but I had become one of them. So my stats this week are not TRUE stats they are "Cold Stats" but they still do look impressive.
Starting Weight: 128.8
Current Weight: 119.4
Total Weight Lost: 9.4
Total Inches Lost: 7.25
Tomorrow a new INSANE day begins.

Mental note... don't ever do that again.
OK I have reached the point where I have to do 2 workouts in 1 day. I made the mistake of doing Pure Cardio, which is the hardest of the videos so far, heading upstairs for a quick glass of chocolate milk (a really good substitute for the recovery formula they recommend) and then going right back downstairs for Cardio Abs. My muscles were exhausted and I could hardly move. Add on top of that the milk in my stomach and you have a one BLAH BLAH workout. I am going to have to bite the bullet and wake up early for days in which I have 2 workouts. 1 in the morning, 1 in the evening would be ideal.
I am feeling stronger and I am getting better at the moves. I unfortunately have to substitute squats for the power jumps because of my lower back but I still get a lot out of it. My friend, Jess got the Hip Hop Abs DVD so I may have to snag that from her soon!!

Week 1 of Insanity... DONE
Well, I did the wrong workout today (I was SUPPOSED to do Plymoteric Cardio Circuit and I did Cardio Abs, OOPS) but I got through my first week with INSANITY!! I am very proud of myself and am completely motivated to continue. I will do a complete measurement check quarterly but I plan on weighing in once a week.
I have decided that once a week I am going to have a complete free day. Sunday is a rest day for exercising but I am not going to count calories either. I am not going to be a glutton or anything, but I think your body needs to reset and get ready for another week. I have done things like this before when I don't have a lot of weight to lose and I hit plateaus rather quickly. So I will have a "cheat" day and just not worry about how many calories or how many meals I have eaten. It is a nice little gift to myself.
I am ready for the rest of this journey. DIG DEEPER!!

It is Thursday... I'm still here.
I just completed my 4th day of Insanity, Cardio Recovery. I think it should be called yoga which will really burn the hell out of your body.
Amazingly enough, the soreness in my legs and arms have subsided and I already feel a bit more flexible than I was. Eating is a challenge mainly due to time as I am never sitting still. But I will have a status update on numbers, weight and measurements, on Monday morning.
